EWG Soccer Recrecreational Schedule

About this time every year parents start to worry, "I haven't heard anything, did they get my registration?" That is quickly followed by other questions: When is the first practice? What time is the first game? Do they need cleats? What about uniforms?

Well, we'll try to address those issues here and help allay some of the fears.

We have both Fall and Spring Recreational Soccer programs (co-ed) for children who want to learn the game and improve their skills in a fun and non-competitive environment. The emphasis is on sportsmanship, fun, teamwork, and building skills. We do not keep score in any age groups and all participants who play through the end of the season receive a trophy recognizing their effort.

The Exeter-West Greenwich Youth Soccer Association (EWG Soccer) serves Exeter, West Greenwich, and nearby communities in rural south-central Rhode Island. We have worked since our inception to grow both our association and the sport of soccer by providing a safe and fun atmosphere for the children and their families. Founded in 1996, we now play all of our home matches at the 8-acre soccer complex in West Greenwich that we opened in 2002. EWG Soccer is a member of Soccer Rhode Island and USYSA and sponsors both Recreational (House) and Competitive (Travel) programs.
